How We Help
The past year has been a challenge for all of us. We are working incredibly hard in difficult and unfamiliar circumstances. Looking after our mental health and wellbeing is essential, but it's important to reach out at a time that is right for you.
At italk, we are proud to work closely with the HIOW Staff Support Hub, which gives all of our NHS colleagues across Hampshire and Isle of Wight one convenient route to access support.
Instead of self-referring to italk using this website, you can start a conversation at the HIOW Staff Support Hub.
Any member of staff working within a health and social care organisation across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight can use the hub and access support. You do not need to be front line. The hub is separate and confidential from your organisation, which means your information will not be shared with your HR team, manager or Occupational Health team.
Staff who have already used the service have said:
"The service provided me with tools and support to get through - to help me cope and to help me stop the downward spiral. We are not exploring how to address some of the underlying issues that caused me to feel so bad in the first place. I feel so much better and able to deal with challenges" - NHS Colleague, 2021
"During the lockdown I required support in relation to my mental health, but I was hesitant to seek support from a team with the organisation I worked for. I was quickly put at ease by the service and I now receive regular sessions with a therapist that is down to earth, approachable and reliable. I would thoroughly recommend any member of staff to be referred or self-refer." - NHS Colleague, 2021

If you access the HIOW Staff Support Hub, your information will be kept on their confidential and secure patient management system. The system is exclusive to the HIOW Staff Support Hub, and separate from any other patient records within the trust.
Your employer will not be informed that you are accessing support, and they will not share your information with your manager, HR or Occupational Health.
