Self referral means you don't have to see your GP in order to access italk.
Please read the section below before continuing.
Please note that you are only able to refer for one treatment option at a time.
If any of the above does not apply to you please speak to your GP for further advice and support, or visit our ‘urgent help’ page if you are in distress.
Please note that to accept a referral, we need your consent to store your information on our secure and confidential patient database. Only your Practitioner and the italk office team are able to view your record. If you have any questions about this please visit our ‘frequently asked questions’ page or call us on 02380 383920 and we will be happy to provide you with more information.
Not registered to a GP in Hampshire? Or registered to a GP in Southampton or Portsmouth?

Online self referral to our computerised support programme (SilverCloud - cCBT)
SilverCloud is a quick and convenient way to access treatment flexibly if you are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety or depression. Once you have signed up we will allocate a Supporter to you and send a welcome letter with all of the details you need. Click here for more information about SilverCloud, our online support programme.
Please note you cannot sign up to SilverCloud if you are already with italk, e.g. you may have a Telephone Assessment booked, be attending a Group or Workshop or waiting for face to face treatment. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns on 02380 383920.
Online self referral
The quickest and easiest way to access support is through one of our Managing Moods workshops. If you self refer online, you can book on to the next group in your area. These groups are a great way of teaching you the techniques you need to help yourself feel better. There is no obligation to talk at these sessions, although many people find they benefit even more from sharing their experiences! At the end of the group, we will review your progress. If we feel you need more support, we will contact you to arrange it.
If you would prefer to talk to someone you can refer for a Telephone Assessment with one of our Practitioners.
