Leaving Lockdown

Leaving Lockdown

As social distancing restrictions ease, you’re not alone if you’re feeling uneasy and want to move at your own pace.

This year has impacted us all in so many different ways, you won’t be alone in however you’re feeling about leaving lockdown, and we hope in this special edition of Managing Moods you'll find the tools you need to move forward confidently.

Leaving Lockdown, our new Special Edition of our popular 6-week course focuses on tips and techniques for taking things at your own pace, managing nerves around going out again and, if your routine will be changing, building that up in a way that feels manageable.

What will I learn?

Leaving Lockdown teaches the same helpful toolkit of skills as our standard Managing Moods course, but focussed around how you can use them to feel calmer, think clearly, and get motivated as social distancing restrictions ease and our lifestyles change again.

The information, skills and techniques are based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).  It’s a proactive approach that harnesses the links between our thoughts, emotions, physical feelings and actions, to improve how we feel.

You’ll learn more about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and how it works, and you’ll learn a broad range of CBT skills that you can use in your life for achieving your goals now, and to feel equipped to face the future.

How does it work?

Our Managing Moods: Leaving Lockdown course is held as an online Zoom Webinar, which is different from a 'meeting' in that you won’t have your camera or microphone on, you can just watch and listen in comfort and privacy.

You can join from any device as long as it can access the internet and has sound. When you book your place you’ll register first by entering your name and email address on the Zoom website, and then you’ll get a link to click to join the session.

During the session, you’ll have the opportunity to type in questions privately to our practitioners, for 1-1 support with any parts of the course you’d like more detail on.
